This winter has been quite an interesting one. We have gone from having temperatures in the 70's to temperatures in the 20's. And it seems that the beginning of the week will be nice and by the end of the week they are calling for snow or ice. Last week we had an ice storm. It was really cool to see the ice frozen on everything outside. It was really pretty. I have included some pictures from the storm. Enjoy!

The Art Of Making A Baby
Recently my husband and I embarked on our TTC journey. Before we even began I had a list of things I wanted to do before we started. Most of them I actually followed through with and got done. The one thing I have not done yet is going to the dentist to make sure everything is good (I keep putting it off though because I HATE the dentist).
Since making a decision that we are going to try and have a baby I have been reading countless websites and reading every thing I can on conceiving and pregnancy. I want to make sure and do all that I can to have a nice home for our future child to hang out in for nine months. And I tell you all the information out there can be a bit overwhelming. Do this....don't do this....eat this....don't eat that. If you followed everything you read on the internet you would be living in a bubble. And to me that is not practical.
So I do not know how long it will take or when we will get pregnant, especially since your chances of getting pregnant are about 20%. But that is ok, the journey to get there will be exciting.
Do any of my mom readers have any good advice on TTC and pregnancy?

Friday's Letters
Dear Snow, it was so exciting to see you yesterday. Thank you for leaving enough on the ground so that I did not have to go to work today. Yippee!! Dear Husband, I am looking forward to spending the weekend with you. So glad that we have a long weekend. It will be good to spend some quality time with you. Dear Martin Luther King, happy birthday on Monday. Thank you for all you did and the awareness you brought to our nation. Dear Darby, why is it that you insist upon sitting in front of the computer while I am trying to do stuff. It makes it difficult to type on the keyboard. Silly kitty.
Have a great weekend!
Today I am linking up with Ashley.

Advent Week 3....Joy
This week the third candle of Advent represents joy. This week we remember that God sent Jesus so that we would always that God cares for us. We feel joy when we remember the love that God has for us. During Advent, we pray that we may remember again God's gift of Jesus to the world and know the joy that gift brings to all people.
Dear God, thank you for your son, Jesus. Thank you for the joy remembering Jesus' birth brings to us today. Help us to live in such a way that our words and our actions help others to know the joy you give.
Luke 1: 47-55
What does joy mean to you?

Advent Week 2- Love
This week the second candle of advent reminds us of God's love. John 3:16 reminds us of the great love that He has for us. He loved us so much that He sent His son that we might know the height, depth, and width of His love for us.
This week we remember God's love for us and think about how we can show others God's love to other people in our lives. This week think about if there is someone you know who needs to hear the words of God's love. Then think about ways in which you can demonstrate the love of God to them.
Dear God, thank you for your son, Jesus. Thank you for the versus that remind us of your love and care. Help us to see how we bring this love to the people in our schools, at our jobs, and in our neighborhoods. Help us to be messengers of God's love for everyone.
Philippians 1-3:11
