Phil....You Lied

So Phil, I thought you predicted that there would be an early spring, but alas it appears you were very wrong. It seems as if winter is sticking around for a little bit longer. I had such great faith in your and your prediction, but you let me down my friend. Where is the warmer weather you predicted? What is up with the cold temps and snow? That was not nice to be tricky like that and make all of us believe and hope for an early spring. I am very disappointed. Where are you spring?

Life is Short

Today I was reminded of the frailty and shortness of life. It is so easy to get caught up in the everyday routine of life and forget about those things that we hold dear to us. We let life take over and we get bogged down in the worries and cares of the day that we forget to give thanks for the many blessings that God has given us. I know that I too often take for granted those things that the Lord has blessed me with. It is a shame that often times we do not truly value these blessings until something bad happens and we are forced to remember these things. I hope that I do not get so complacent that I take advantage of life's precious gifts and forget what God has given me. I want to honor and cherish my relationships. I want to give thanks everyday for the blessings in my life. I want to learn to live each day to the fullest. I chose to not let the cares and worries of this world take away my joy. Thank you God for the many blessings that you have given me.

Friday's Letters

Dear Reagan and Darby, you two have been misbehaving lately. What's up with that? Please be good kitties for mommy. Maybe if you straighten up you will get a treat tonight. Dear Husband, I had a great Valentine's with you. I had so much fun going out to eat with you last night. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, the accordion player was a hoot, and the best part of the night.....the company. I love you babe! Dear Reagan, I am sorry I have let your claws get so long. I promise to take you to get them trimmed soon. Dear Weather, I am tired of the cold. Bring on the spring temps! Dear Husband (you get to letters today), thank you so much for the flowers and the movies. I love them. You are the best husband a girl could ask for.

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you have a great weekend.

I didn't know it would feel like this

When my husband and I started out on our TTC journey I was full of optimism and perhaps a little too excited for my own good. I was not prepared for the emotions I would feel when we were not successful at conceiving. I was not prepared for the feelings of sadness and disappointment that I would experience when my lovely monthly visitor showed up. I had worked myself up to thinking that for sure this would be the cycle that we would conceive. But to my disappointment it was not. My heart is truly broken.

I have always known that I wanted to be a mother and anxiously look forward to the day that God blesses us with our little miracle. I just hope and pray that this journey is not a long one. I am not sure if I could deal with disappointment month after month.

Yes, I know it has just been one month of trying, but when you want something so bad and your heart longs for something so deeply it is still disappointing when it does not happen.I am slowly starting to realize just how much of a miracle life is. Perhaps this is God's way of helping us to truly appreciate the children He blesses us with. If it were an easy process then I do not think we would be as appreciative for the gift of life.

Friday's Letters

Dear Spring, I so wish you would hurry up and get here. I am dying to get outside and enjoy the beauty of nature again. Please do not stay away too much longer. Dear Rain, go away, come again another day! Dear House, I do not like it that you are dirty. I wish I could wave a magic wand and poof you would be clean. Dear Husband, it's the weekend baby! Hopefully we will be able to spend some good quality time together.

Have a great weekend everyone!
