Weekend Happenings

So my weekend was pretty eventful. It seemed so jam packed that I don't even feel like I had a weekend. Now that I am back in school it seems like I spend every free moment I have on my homework. So needless to say that means my weekends are spent working on projects and papers.

My cat Reagan decided to help me with my homework and sat on my lap while I worked away on the computer.

Also I am participating in a really cool swap and sent off my package this weekend. I can't wait to see what I get in return. Check out the swap below.

My Husband

Today's post is dedicated to my awesome, amazingly, wonderful husband. Before I met my husband I had pretty much given up hope that there were still good guys out there. I had come to the conclusion that all the good ones were taken. Then I met my husband.

I love the way he cares about others and goes out of his way to help others. He is always doing things that blow my mind and make me so proud of him. Last night I was totally blown away when we were out eating and he say an elderly couple walking out to the car and it was clear that the wife, who was just as disabled as her husband, was struggling getting her husband to their car. So my husband went out assisted them. It made me proud to see him doing such a selfless act. That is just one of the many reasons I love this man.

I am also very proud of him because he bravely served our country for 12 years fighting for my freedom and the freedom of others. He is my hero!

My life is truly richer because of my husband. I cannot imagine my life without him. He is not only the love of my life, but he is also my best friend. God knew exactly what he was doing when he brought the two of us together. He is the perfect match for me. I am so thankful to have him in my life.

Life Lately

This picture is about how I have been feeling lately. School has been quite overwhelming and busy the past couple of weeks. All my spare time has been spent reading the textbooks and doing projects. So unfortunatly my blog has suffered a little. The good news is I only have two more weeks of this class! Whoohoo! I am so ready for it to be over.

My Hope Is In You

Lord, I trust you to give me the strength I need to run the race. I trust you to give me the strength to run and not grow weary and to walk and not faint. Lord, you are my strength and I put all my hope in you.

Sometimes and Always

Sometimes....I enjoy a weekend away with the husband.
Always....I wish the weekend lasted longer.

Robert and I at one of the waterfalls I visited this weekend.

Sometimes....I think today will be the day when I will get motivated and wake up and go to the gym.
Always....I hit the stupid snooze button and go back to sleep.

Sometimes....I love holiday candy.
Always....I go to the store the day after the holiday when it is all on sale and buy some.

Sometimes....I just really want a biscuit smothered in gravy from the cafeteria at work.
Always....I resist and have my yogurt instead.

Today I am linking up with Megan for Tuesday's Sometimes and Always. Go check it out!

This weekend my husband and I took a little trip to North Carolina. We went on this awesome waterfall tour. If you are ever in the Hendersonville area I highly recommend the tour. It is called Miller's Land of Waterfall Tour. Totally worth the money! Below are some pictures from our little adventure.

A cool place to get some ice-cream

My husband in front of the falls. This gives you an idea of how tall the waterfall is.

My husband at the top of the falls.

Learning to Be Still

I love this verse. This is one thing that I am currently working on. I am continually learning that I need to slow down and wait on God. This verse is a great reminder of that. Be blessed my friends!

Sometimes and Always

Sometimes: I hate getting up and giving presentations.
Always: Dressing nice and putting on a little bit of make-up makes me feel a little more confident.

Sometimes: I want to stop blogging.
Always: I remember how much I love it and remember some of the wonderful people I have met.

Sometimes: I feel like quitting school because I get so overwhelmed.
Always: I remember I just started so I can't quit yet.

Sometimes: I enjoy a good lazy weekend with the husband.
Always: I hate when Monday morning comes and I have to go back to work.

Today I am linking up with Megan. Go check it out!

Friday's Letters

Hello Friends! Today I am linking up with Ashley for Friday's Letters. Hope you enjoy!

Dear Gas Prices, I am sick and tired of you getting higher and higher. Give a girl a break for once! Dear Spider that lives in my garage, that was not very nice that you bit me earlier this week. If you are still alive and I find you I will kill you! Dear Cirque Du Soleil, I loved your show last night! It was truly entertaining. I loved every moment of it. Dear Family, I am so excited that you are coming to my house for Easter. It will be a blast. Dear Husband, thanks for date night last night. I enjoyed going out to eat and going to the show with you. I look forward to spending the weekend with you. Love you babe!

The Difference Between Me and My Husband

Marriage has been quite eye opening. I never realized truly how different two people can be until I married my husband. Learning how to live with someone who is the complete opposite of you can at times be a little challenging.

For example, I do not understand why my husband insists on wearing clothes that are torn and falling apart. I just want to throw them away. But for whatever reason he still wears them and will not get rid of them. And it drives me nuts!

Now I know that I drive my husband crazy too. My husband is the clean freak of the family. He is particularly anal about the dishes. As soon as we are done eating he is up and cleaning and putting the dishes in the dishwasher. Me on the other hand, as long as the dishes are put away before I go to bed at night I am fine with leaving them in the sink for a couple of hours.

Another disagreement we have is over the thermostat. I am a very cold natured person so in the winter time I get cold and the summer if the house is too cold from the air conditioning I do not like it. And most of the time I win.

My husband is a good man for putting up with my quirkiness. I know that at times I am probably not the easiest person to live with. And for that he probably deserves a medal.

When I got married no one told me how challenging living with someone that is the complete opposite of me would be. But through it all I do honestly believe it has made me a better person. I have had to learn to grow and consider the needs of others before my own. And while I know that at times we drive each other nuts it would probably be a very boring marriage if we were exactly the same. I am glad we are different and that we can use those difference to make our marriage stronger.

I love this man!

Happy Tuesday

Today I am linking up with Megan for Sometimes and Always. Go check out her link up!

Sometimes, I wish I could just lay in bed all day.
Always, my cats come and wake me up and insist I get out of bed so they can be fed.

Sometimes, I try to eat more fruits and veggies.
Always, I much prefer the junk food.

Sometimes, I like driving my husband's jeep through water on the road after a good rain.
Always, I hate it when I have to drive my little car through the water. Not cool.

Sometimes, I feel like skipping class.
Always, I go anyway even though sometimes I don't feel like it.

Have a great Tuesday!!
