Trip To The Mountains

I had been dying to take a trip to the mountains but it seems like every weekend I have had something going and have not been able to go. So this weekend I was bound and determined to make it to the mountains. So I went knowing that there was rain in the forecast. I was hoping that the rain would hold off long enough before it rained. Well, unfortunately my trip turned out to be very rainy. The good news is I was able to get in a few good photos before the rain set in. I hope you enjoy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



Lazy Saturdays

Sometimes there is nothing better than a lazy Saturday. Sitting out on the deck enjoying a nice cup of coffee and relishing in the peacefulness of the sounds of nature. No place I would rather be then to be at home with my wonderful husband and our two fur babies. That to me those are the perfect ingredients for a lovely Saturday.

Birthday Dinner

Last Wednesday was my birthday. So while I was out my amazingly awesome husband made dinner for me and had this wonderful surprise for me when I got home.

The menu was lobster mac and cheese, fresh grilled veggies, and garlic bread. It was such a great surprise to come home and see that he had set the table and lit some candles as well. Here are some pics of the dinner: 

I am so thankful for such a wonderful husband who does little things like this for me. I thank God everyday for bringing such a wonderful man into my life. 

Monday Morning Blues

Sometimes I often wonder why it is that Monday comes so quickly. It is funny how during the week I long for the weekend to come, but then when the weekend comes it is over before I know it. And then here I am on Monday morning sitting at my desk still wishing that I was still in bed. Sometimes I wish that weekends were longer. But then if that was the case I would probably hate Tuesdays. So I will drink my extra cup of coffee and hope that it give me the energy to make it through the day. And hopefully, it will help me get over my Monday morning blahs.

Dear Reagan, I think it is so weird that you like to eat eggs. I have not seen too many cats that like to eat hard boiled eggs. The funniest part is that you snort like a pig when you eat them. You are a strange little cat. Dear Husband, I am glad you are finally starting to feel better. I really do not like it when you are sick. Hopefully, now that you are feeling better we can go doing something fun this weekend. Dear Friday, this week really flew by I can't believe you are already here. Dear Blog Friends, I hope that everyone has a great weekend!

Dear Husband, thank you so much for making my birthday so wonderful. I loved the home cooked meal you made for me and I loved the beautiful flowers you gave me. I love you so much! Dear October, you are my favorite month of the entire year. Not just because of my birthday, but I love the fall colors you bring and the fall weather. Dear Presidential Race, I am ready for you to be over. That is all I am going to say about that. Dear Blog Friends, I hope you have a great weekend!

This has always been one of my favorite scriptures. It has helped me through many times in my life when it has been hard to see what direction life is leading me and I do not know what the future holds. It has always brought me hope to know that when I do not know what the plan is God always knows.

Dear Moon, you looked so cool the other night. I always love it when you are full. Dear Self, tomorrow is the start of the birthday celebration. Whoohoo!! So looking forward to it. Dear Friends, I am so looking forward to seeing you for dinner tonight and then hanging out afterwards. It seems like forever since we have hung out. Dear Car, why did your check engine light come on yesterday. I am not happy with that one bit. We cannot buy a new car until next year so I need you to not be broken. Dear Husband, I am so proud of how well you are doing in school. You are really doing a great job. Dear Weekend, I am so glad to finally see you!

I've Been Dreaming.....

Lately, I have been dreaming about taking a vacation far far away. What I need most is some peace and quiet and a little relaxation. When thinking about where I would like to go these are some of the places I would love to go to.....
