Friday's Letter

Ok friends, so I am doing two posts in one day. I had to join in with Ashley today for Friday's Letter. It has become my new favorite thing to do on Friday. Check out her link up.


Dear neighborhood dog owner, it is not cool that you let your dog go around and poop in other people's yards. I do not like the pile of crap that your dog left in my front yard. It would be nice if you would pick up after your dog. Thanks! Dear Boss, thank you so much for allowing me to have the day off. It has been nice to rest and relax a little. Totally what I was needing. Dear Friday, I am so glad to see you. It has been a long week. And I am so ready for the weekend. Dear Self, I am so proud of you for making an A in your first graduate class. I knew you could do it! Dear Husband, I am so glad that I get to spend the weekend with you. Hopefully we can find some kind of adventure to get into.

Hiking Trip

Last weekend we went on a little hike up in the mountains. It was so much fun. We went with my mom, aunt and my two lovely nieces. We saw some really cool wildflowers and the waterfall we hiked to was really pretty that day. My nieces took wildflower books with us so that we could identify all the flowers. I got a kick out of watching them find all the flowers. I have added some pictures of our trip for your enjoyment.

Sometimes and Always

Sometimes, I like to hear my husband talking to our cats.

Always, I think it is so cute that he talks to them like they are people.

Always, I like it better when my husband mows the lawn for me.

Sometimes, I just really crave some pizza.

Always, I get me way and we order one for dinner.

Sometimes, I have good intentions of drinking water more often.

Always, that only lasts for a couple of days.

The Best Part of Waking Up....

Sometimes my favorite thing to do on a lazy Saturday morning is to take my cup of coffee and sit out on the deck. I love to sit and just enjoy the sights and sounds of nature first thing in the morning. It is a great way to collect my thoughts and reflect on life. Sometimes life can get so busy and hectic that you forget to stop and enjoy the small things in life. It is nice to take a moment and be quiet and enjoy life. Sometimes all I need are just a few moments alone with myself and God. And I am ready to go and out face the world again.

Sometimes and Always

Yay for spring! I am so excited that today is the first day of spring. I love this time of year. I love to see the flowers and trees blooming. It makes me so happy. Today I am linking up again with Megan.

Sometimes I just really enjoy a good cup of coffee in the morning.
Always I have to have a least one up to get me going in the mornings.

Sometimes I enjoy walking at work during my lunch break.
Always I am so glad when the weather is nice enough for me to walk.

Sometimes I think I am going to iron my clothes for work the night before.
Always I forget and end up having to do it in the morning.

Sometimes I wish I could buy a new car.
Always I am grateful my car still runs and it is paid off!

Friday's Letters

Dear Friday, I am so glad to see you! It has been a long week and I am ready for the weekend. Dear Coastal Connections, I am so excited to cook the fresh fish I picked up from your store yesterday. I think it is awesome that you guys go down south and pick up some fresh fish for us Tennesseans. I love being able to get fresh fish right out of the ocean! Dear friends, I am so excited you are coming over for a cookout Sunday. It has been so long since we have been able to hang out. It is going to be good to see you again. Dear Husband, I am sorry we have not been able to see a lot of each other this week. Hopefully we will be able to make up that time this weekend. I am glad we will get to spend some good quality time together.

Prince Charming

The other day I was riding around with my sunroof open and I was reminded of the day my prince charming decided to hitch a ride in my car.

A couple of years ago and was driving home and it was dark outside. I had stopped at a traffic light and was waiting for the light to turn green. When the light turned green I proceeded to go and when I did something fell through my sunroof and landed on the gear shift. It was dark so I could not really see what it was. At first glance I thought it was a huge bug. I turned the light on in the car and saw it was  FROG! I had a moment of panic because I had no idea how I was going to get this thing out of my car and the last thing I wanted was for it to jump on me. I found a good place to pull over and got out of the car faster than I think I ever have. It took forever for me to get him out of my car. He just seemed to want to stay in the car.

That was the most bizarre thing that has ever happened to me. I mean what are the chances I frog will jump into your car through your sunroof?

Perhaps I should have kissed him to see if he would turn into my prince charming.

Friday's Letters

Dear Spring, I am so glad you are almost hear. I am loving seeing the little glimpses that you are on the way. Dear Homework, it looks like I will be spending most of my weekend with you. Boo! Please me nice to me. Dear North Carolina, I enjoyed visiting you last weekend. Thank you for showing us a good time. I love all your waterfalls! Dear Husband, thanks for being there for me this week when I was feeling overwhelmed and wanted to quit school. Thanks for always believing in me!

Weekend Adventure

Last weekend the husband and I took a little trip to visit a dog breeder and doing a little hiking. It was so much fun and a much needed break from the normal routine. I have included a few pictures of our adventure. Enjoy!

Friday's Letters

Dear Husband, I am so excited about our little trip this weekend. I can't wait to wait to get out of town for the day! Yay, for weekend adventures! Dear Professor, thank you for giving me such a great grade on my assignment. I was really stressing over it. Dear Co-Workers, sometimes it gets annoying that you play Words With Friends all day long. Give it a break. Dear March, I am so glad to see you. Just a couple more weeks until spring! Dear Husband (you get to letter today), I love you so much and cannot imagine my life without you. I love you more and more each day!

Random Thoughts for Thursday

Sometimes I think I am crazy for going back to school, especially after going to class last week and getting the syllabus. But I know in the end it will be worth it.

I am super excited because my husband and I are going to visit a dog breeder this weekend. I am excited about the prospects of getting a puppy.

In light of the recent bad weather it has reminded me how much I hate storms and tornadoes. It never makes any sense to me why people lose their homes and why some even lose their lives because of such random acts of mother nature. It is hard for me to understand why things like this happen.

I noticed that my iris are starting to come up that I have planted around my mail box. And that makes me happy. It reminds me that spring is just around the corner and it gives me hope that it will be warm again soon. I love spring!

Sometimes I think it would be nice to not have to live in a world that is so dependent on technology. I often think it would be nice to not have to answer the phone or to answer email. I think I would love to live somewhere that I could just enjoy life and not have the interruptions of modern conveniences. I would love to be by the beach lying in a hammock like the one below.
